One of the leading departments of Ukraine, whose alumni activities are related to computerization, is the Department of Automation and Control in Technical Systems of Faculty of Informatics and Computing Technique of National Technical University of Ukraine “Kiev Polytechnic Institute”.

The peculiarity of the training of our graduates is a profound study of the most modern high-tech fields of science and technology: Information Technology; computer, microprocessor-based electronics; systems and networks of data transfer and telecommunications; computerized control systems. Our students receive a fundamental knowledge of:programming (algorithmic languages ​​and programming; object-oriented programming; modern programming techniques; systems programming; databases; operating systems; WEB-technologies, etc.);

History of the ACTS department began in 1945, when the department of “relay and automatics” was founded. In 1963, it was called “Automation and Remote Control,” and in 1988 – “Automation and control in technical systems” (ACTS). Department of “relay and automatics” submerged from the department of central power plants for training specialists in electrical and telemechanical devices.
Throughout its existence the department has been developing in an educational and scientific areas, learning more and more difficult scientific and technological progress achievements in the field of technical systems control.

Educational activity concept

The basis of the educational activities of the Department relies on the concept of combining a traditional full-depth comprehensive education and professional requirements from the modern industry. While receiving a diploma of higher education our graduates can receive 5-6 certificates from major world manufacturers of informational and network technologies, computerized control systems equipment, computer-aided design technologies and programming.
